Meet Our Head Golf Professional

Jason Young is the Head Golf Professional at Red Rock and has 20 years of instruction experience since turning professional in 1993. Jason is a native of Pierre, SD, and started playing golf at the age 4. “Golf has always been a passion of mine and a big part of my life. As a kid I was introduced to golf by my dad. It provided a great opportunity for me to spend time with my mom and dad. Now that has carried over to my wife and kids.In addition, I have been very fortunate to have turned that passion into my career. I can’t imagine having a better career, especially when it comes to fostering the game with the junior golf opportunities at Red Rock,” says Jason.

Junior Lessons

Junior Golf has always been a high priority for Jason as evident in the program’s success at Red Rock. Under his direction the Golf Club at Red Rock has been named the #1 Family Junior Program in South Dakota four times. Jason has received the honor six times in the last 10 years. Red Rock is extremely fortunate to have an ownership, membership, and a staff that is 100% committed to junior golf! Jason is a US Kids Certified Instructor/Fitter and has recently been named a TPI Certified Instructor.

Lessons ~ Group or Private

For 20 years, Jason has instructed golfers of all skill levels and ages. He takes great pride in his ability to match his teaching methods to compliment your ability and learning style. While offering unique and valuable instruction to all golfers, Jason is confident in his ability to communicate effectively with every level of player. He offers instruction in all facets of the game to golfers of all ages and abilities. Golfers have the opportunity to choose from individual or group lessons.

Custom Club Fitting & Equipment

The Golf Club at Red Rock is one of the area’s leaders in equipment and club fitting. Golfers will experience outstanding customer service before and after the purchase. Jason and his staff want each golfer to be 100% satisfied with their equipment purchase.Utilizing various fitting techniques and launch monitor, Jason can fit you for a complete set or an individual club. You will find some of the most competitive prices in the Black Hills. Choose from industry leaders like Titleist, Ping, TaylorMade, Callaway and Cleveland.

Practice Facilities

Red Rock offers a full length driving range with target greens. The driving is open to everyone, seven days a week. The driving does close to hand-pick Wednesdays and Sundays at 7 pm throughout the summer months. We also offer a large chipping green as well as putting green
